The beautiful hibiscus or “kokio’ula”, with its 33 species, adorns much of the landscape in Hawaii. The early Hawaiians used the hibiscus for dyes, tapa cloth, rituals, decoration and medicines. From vibrant red, pink, white, orange, yellow and many shades in between, the hibiscus is a true tribute to Hawaii and nature’s diversity. These lovely hand made tiles are the sole creations of artists from the Hawaiian Islands. You can hang these on your wall using the convenient keyhole in the masonite backing of your tile or for practical purposes use as a trivet to place hot dishes or pots on. |
