This simple yet elegant desktop photo album is crafted with a veneer of koa wood, and backed with genuine leather. Using Acacia Koa, a species of Acacia endemic to the Hawaiian Islands, this album contains archival quality, acid-free pages and mats, and may also be used as a journal. Each album has its distinct personality; no two albums are alike. The Hawaiian climate makes for ideal conditions to grow this one-of-a-kind wood. Soil minerals and altitude predict the darkness and color of the wood. A darker color running strong from mottle to fiddle back makes for wood difficult to work with, but also reflects the quality and rarity of the wood amongst all species of Koa wood. This album is designed to hold 4" x 6" photos. The front and back cover is crafted with a veneer of koa wood and backed with genuine leather. Koa album with 3 Honu (Turtle) design, leather spine, with 16 black pages to hold 64 - 4x6 prints. Album is 9” high x 7” wide x 1” deep. |
