Capture the essence of Hawaii in handmade paper frames. This frame is decorated with the 19th century wana kapa stamp design, a respectful tribute to Hawaiian tradition. Wana is Hawaiian for sea urchin. Kapa was originally used for clothing, but has become an icon to symbolize rank, prestige and Hawaiian heritage. These unique frames are created by recycling locally found accent elements together with everyday office paper. The sheets are naturally dried in the sun and fashioned into photo frames. (#2152) |
