This simple yet elegant desktop photo album is crafted with a veneer of koa wood on the front and back cover, with the front cover decorated with a 2D palm tree. Using Acacia Koa, a species of Acacia endemic to the Hawaiian Islands, this album contains archival quality, acid-free pages and mats, and may also be used as a journal. The Hawaiian climate makes for ideal conditions to grow this one-of-a-kind wood. Soil minerals and altitude predict the darkness and color of the wood. A darker color running strong from mottle to fiddle back makes for wood difficult to work with, but also reflects the quality and rarity of the wood amongst all species of Koa wood. Designed to hold twelve (12), 4" x 6" photos. |
