This handmade angel ornament is one of a kind! Hand crafted in Hawaii, this 8” tall angel is wearing a palaka designed skirt. Palaka is the Hawaiian term used to describe the plaid design on clothing worn and created in the sugar plantation era, and made famous by the Hawaiian Paniolo (cowboy). This Christmas Angel also wears a flower lei and haku – traditional Hawaiian head lei. Haku’s are worn straight across the forehead and tied in the back of the head. The haku is very popular in Hawaii, usually worn for weddings, graduations and other special occasions. With a braided lauhala string in the back, hang this angel on your Christmas tree or anywhere you want to bring a little bit of the islands into your home at Christmas time.
