Hanauma Bay, which literally means "curved bay" is believed to be 35,000 years old and is actually the floor of a volcanic crater who's exterior wall collapsed and allowed the ocean to flow in. It is sheltered from strong currents and waves, so the bay is ideal for swimming and snorkeling. These lovely hand made tiles are the sole creations of artists from the Hawaiian Islands. You can hang these on your wall using the convenient keyhole in the backing of your tile or for practical purposes use as a trivet to place hot dishes or pots on.
