Using the age old ceramic firing technique of raku, this set comes with 6 coasters (each coaster measures 4-1/2” diameter and 3/8” thick) depicting the Hawaiian green sea turtle, or Honu – great icons of the Hawaiian culture. Depicted on ancient Hawaiian petroglyphs, it is believed that the green sea turtles were the guides for the first voyagers to Hawaii. It is also believed to bring good luck if you were to spot a honu while swimming.
